Jack Wesley Carter of Whitehouse, was called home on September 12, 2017 at the age of 88.

Born March 5, 1929 in Dallas, Jack graduated Henderson High School and joined the Air Force in 1949 where he served as a Radio Operator during the Korean war.

In his 6 years in the Air Force, Jack received the occupation Ribbon, good conduct medal, Korean Service medal and many more. After an honorable discharge Jack continued his education at TJC.

Born March 5, 1929 in Dallas, Jack graduated Henderson High School and joined the Air Force in 1949 where he served as a Radio Operator during the Korean war.

In his 6 years in the Air Force, Jack received the occupation Ribbon, good conduct medal, Korean Service medal and many more. After an honorable discharge Jack continued his education at TJC.

Jack's career included owning his own TV repair shop and utilizing his talented skills in carpentry. He later retired from Carrier Technology in 1995. Even with these accomplishments, Jack would tell you his greatest was marrying his beloved wife Joyce. Jack was a Baptist and proclaimed the Lord as his Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; one brother; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Joyce Stout Carter; 1 son Gary W. Carter of Whitehouse; 3 daughters and sons-in-law Brenda & William (Bill) Smith of Arkansas; Donna and Mark Brown of Troup; and Gina and Robert Chavez of Whitehouse; Jack had 7 grandchildren Jason Griffin; Crystal Michalske; Nathan Brown; Stephen Chavez; Kevin Chavez; Jessica Brown; and Cristina Clayborn plus their spouses and multiple great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Friday at 2PM September 15, 2017 at Tyler Memorial Park.
